Next autumn, from October 6 to 9, 2025, the German regional association BVCD Baden-Württemberg, in collaboration with the Bavarian Camping Association (LCB e.V.), will organize a professional study trip for open-air operators. The initiative, titled “Camping between heath, coast and harbor ̶ Exchange, new insights, innovations”, will offer a well-balanced program of guided tours of cutting-edge sites, professional networking opportunities, and insights into eco-innovative solutions.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit some exemplary campsites in the picturesque South Heath (Südheide) and on the island of Fehmarn. Thanks to an agreement with the Riechey family, attendees will be hosted at the recently opened 4-star Golf ’n Wave Hotel, a modern and elegant accommodation.
The program will include networking sessions among peers, sharing of best practices, and workshops focused on the most effective strategies for sustainable and innovative campsite management. As highlighted by Carina Lorenz of BVCD, the goal is to create a professional exchange platform that combines vision, practical approaches, and dialogue, and the event is also open to members of other regional associations who are interested in the topic.
