On 5 June, Banaki will officially make its debut, the new booking platform dedicated to the German world of camping, which will replace campingplatz-deutschland.de, the long-standing portal used by facilities affiliated with the BVCD, the German Federal Association of the Camping Industry.
Banaki presents itself as a modern, centralised platform, capable of keeping pace with the continued growth of the outdoor holiday sector and, above all, with the evolving profile of travellers. “The modern camper searches and books online, uses mobile devices and looks for authentic experiences, from traditional family campsites to trends such as glamping or workations. This is exactly the target group we want to inspire and reach with Banaki,” said Morris Mehnert, founder and project manager of Banaki.
The new platform will enhance the wide variety and quality of German campsites through a contemporary and engaging digital environment, focused on content and at the same time designed to make search and booking simpler and more intuitive for users.
Modern design and high-quality editorial content
From the official launch, all companies affiliated with the regional BVCD federations will be automatically listed on the platform and will subsequently be able to manage their own profile and related content independently.
The platform has been developed with the aim of making booking management more efficient, offering immediate direct integration with PMS systems via CampNerd (Changer). Further integrations with Feratel (Online Jungle Camp) and Ctouvert are also planned and will be available shortly. Even operators that do not use a PMS system, or who initially prefer to manage bookings directly via Banaki, will be able to use the platform easily and independently.
One of Banaki’s distinctive features will be its focus on user experience: the platform will emphasise modern and attractive design, high-quality editorial content and an intuitive interface. Future developments already include native smartphone apps and the integration of artificial intelligence tools, enabling increasingly targeted and personalised search results, positioning Banaki among the most innovative platforms in the sector.
