The theme of the search for professionalism in the world of open-air tourism is deeply felt throughout Europe: it is difficult for everyone to find qualified personnel. The French federation, FNHPA, has thus decided to support the world of camping by creating a dedicated website: Ma Carrière Camping, or “my career in camping”. The site is proposed as a meeting point between specialized supply and demand, thus streamlining personnel search procedures.
“Camping is a dynamic supply chain full of promise for the future“, reads the website, all created with the intention of attracting job seekers. “With a turnover of €2.8 billion, this sector occupies an important place in tourism and in the French economy. Whether you are looking for a seasonal job or a permanent one in a campsite, you will certainly find a position that suits you in the world of open-air hospitality: between entertainment, maintenance, catering, and hospitality, there are 32 different kind of jobs in France to choose from”.
There are around 8,000 campsites in France and the Ma Carrière Camping platform presents them, along with the professions available to future candidates for outdoor hospitality. Specific training courses are also offered here, which can orient and specialize candidates according to their aptitudes. In total, there are over 40,000 open positions today. To raise awareness of the new site, the FNHPA will also launch a communication campaign on the main social networks.
