From 14 July to 31 August, #TéléthonCamping returns, the solidarity initiative promoted by AFM-Téléthon together with the Fédération Nationale de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air (FNHPA), which this year celebrates its seventh edition alongside the 40th anniversary of the Téléthon.
Launched in 2020, the initiative has grown rapidly to become an established event within the French open-air hospitality sector. Every summer, hundreds of campsites mobilise to support research into rare diseases through activities and initiatives involving guests, staff and local communities. The figures confirm the success of the project: in 2025 alone, 225 campsites took part, helping to raise more than €130,000. For the 2026 edition, the aim is to further expand the network of participating establishments and strengthen a spirit of solidarity that continues to grow year after year.
A free format that gives space to creativity
FNHPA and AFM-Téléthon jointly promote this summer initiative in order to highlight shared values such as family, solidarity and sharing. The message that is intended to be conveyed is that, in addition to being a tourism sector, camping is the ideal setting for charitable initiatives such as this one, which are fully in line with the spirit of sociability and solidarity that characterises those who choose open-air holidays.
One of the aspects that has contributed most to the success of #TéléthonCamping is the simplicity of the format, which gives participating establishments complete organisational freedom. Each campsite can in fact create activities and entertainment capable of involving guests in a spontaneous and participatory way: sports tournaments, raffles, games, dinners and dance evenings thus become opportunities to combine holidays and solidarity.
Registrations for the 2026 edition will remain open until 30 June: to take part, participants simply need to complete and send the registration form.
