The 6th edition of Borsa del Turismo Extralberghiero opens with a novelty for open-air tourism

The 6th edition of the Borsa del Turismo Extralberghiero (BTE, Extra-Hotel Tourism Exchange), the event dedicated to alternative accommodation facilities to classic hotels (b&b, holiday homes, camping, agritourisms, nautical charters) will take place from September 30 to October 2^nd at the Marina, the large and panoramic tourist port of Capo d’Orlando in Sicily.

Extra-hotel tourism represents a new way of enjoying holidays, a conscious and sustainable choice that is increasingly followed and that counts more than 600 Sicilian realities among its structures. The aim of the event is to make them known to foreign and Italian buyers, tour operators and travel agencies interested in including them in their catalogs along with local attractions and places of cultural and gastronomic interest in the area.

ExpoBTE

ExpoBTE is the exhibition space within the Borsa del Turismo Extralberghiero created to encourage commercial relations between the various components of the sector. This year it hosts an area reserved specifically for open-air tourism, where outdoor accommodation facilities and suppliers of products and services dedicated to campsites and tourist villages meet.

Educational Tour

Designed for buyers, the Educational Tour will be an opportunity to learn about the natural and landscape heritage of the region. Thanks to professional guides, alternative tours to the more famous and well-known ones will be offered to go in search of areas still little traveled but with great tourist potential. The tour will end with a gastronomic event to discover the popular traditions of the most authentic Sicilian cuisine.

Seminars and workshops

To enrich the training offer, various workshops and seminars will be organized. Among these there will be a focus in which data relating to non-hotel tourism and the decisive role played by the various activities, such as cycling and walking offers, will be presented – different ways of experiencing the holiday closely linked to alternative accommodation facilities to hotels and to the permanent proposals linked to them.
