Gio’ Stemar: the natural and ecological African cane ideal for the outdoor world

Gio’ Stemar, a Veneto-based company, designs and manufactures gazebos, kiosks, and umbrellas for swimming pools, common and private camping and glamping areas. Gio’ Stemar items are inspired by ethnic atmospheres, while maintaining the functionality and quality of products made in Italy. Particular attention, in fact, is paid to the selection of materials, both natural, from all over the world, and synthetic, which turn out to be as well as functional, aesthetically exotic in respect of the context in which they are used.

African cane

African cane, also known as cape cane, is a natural and ecological product from Southern Africa, suitable for any environment, including very windy ones, due to its wind resistance. It requires little maintenance. With this material, Gio’ Stemar makes beach umbrella covers in various shapes and sizes (oval and square covers). Different solutions and colors are available for greater customization of environments, even with internal sheathing to offer greater water resistance. There is also African Canna mix, 80×45 cm tile with a synthetic part that does not require maintenance. It is mainly used on permanent constructions, has the same appearance as traditional African reed, but has a higher durability. It can be applied either with classic clips on rods or attached directly using screws/nails. African reed, in general, is designed to give an exotic touch to the bathing establishment, swimming pool and even the home garden.

There are various shapes and sizes of roofing made with African cane tiles that are longer, 80×75 cm, than the standard. The different tile sizes do not affect the main characteristic of the product, namely wind resistance.

Synthetic palm

Gio’ Stemar also makes synthetic roofing tiles that echo the shape of the natural palm tree. They are available in yellow, brown/grey and white/grey colors. Synthetic palm covers are supplied in shingles, with or without clips, making them easy to attach to umbrellas, gazebos or pre-existing roofs.
