The Trigano Group announced in recent days the expansion of its mobile home production site in Mamers (formerly the Raclet factory). This is a large project that will materialize within two years and which aims to increase the production capacity of the plant up to around 1,800 mobile homes a year, starting from the current thousand.
That of the Trigano Group is an important story. Founded in 1935 as a textile articles company and becoming a point of reference in the camping world, in 1945 it specialized in the distribution of camping and sports articles, to then move on – in 1971 – to the creation of tents and the production of caravans, for arrive a few years later to that of campers and mobile homes. A development that has never stopped and which, on the contrary, has grown thanks to important acquisitions that have taken place over the years.
The Mamers site, acquired by the Trigano Group in 2001, is preparing to become one of the largest and most important headquarters: in addition to the restoration of the offices and the facade, the plan provides for the expansion of the production buildings, which will bring the total area to 65,000 square meters. In addition to increasing the production capacity of mobile homes, this renovation operation will also increase jobs. To support this operation, the storage capacity of these camping accommodations will be increased by 200 places.
