After a long career at Aminess Hotels and Resorts, which began in 2008 in the sales department, Mladen Knežević has reached the top of the company, becoming the new Chairman of the Board, appointed by the Supervisory Board.

A rapidly rising brand in the tourism sector, Aminess owns and manages around 30 vacation properties, including hotels and campsites, in Croatia’s prime destinations: Istria, Dalmatia, and Kvarner. Among these are 10 camping resorts, including the new 2024 addition, the 5-star Aminess Avalona Camping Resort on the island of Pag.

Before assuming his new position on July 16, Mladen Knežević served as the head of sales, marketing, and business development, with his entire professional career spent at Aminess. For this reason, he expressed being “extremely proud and grateful to be appointed to the company’s highest position“.

The new CEO has clear ideas about the company’s future: growth and innovation are the key words to keep the brand in line with market trends and achieve customer satisfaction. To accomplish these goals, Knežević will focus on significant investments in the existing portfolio and further expansion in Croatia through new acquisitions. Knežević plans to continue the company’s growth and expansion by investing in increasingly higher-category hotels and resorts, a path already taken with investments in the Aminess Khalani Hotel 5* in Makarska, the Aminess Avalona Camping Resort 5* on the island of Pag, and the Aminess Younique Narrivi Hotel 5* in Crikvenica.

Special attention will also be given to the internal aspects of the company. For Knežević, employee satisfaction is a priority, and he intends to take care of the relationship between employer and employee by ensuring good working conditions, career development opportunities, and good communication.

Two other crucial points will be, on the one hand, the digitization and optimization of internal processes, essential to facilitate new acquisitions and the integration of new structures into the Aminess Group system, and on the other hand, the development of asset light management, i.e., the management of hotels not owned by Aminess. Finally, efforts will be made to strengthen the company’s sustainability with ambitious ESG goals and the use of solar energy to meet its own electricity needs.
