The highly anticipated Atlantica Trade Show, dedicated to the world of outdoor holidays, is approaching and will be held in Niort, on the French Atlantic coast, from October 8 to 10, 2024. The event, organized by the Fédération Départementale de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air de Charente-Maritime (FDHPA17), is exclusively reserved for professionals in the sector. This 27th edition will feature 500 exhibitors.

In 5 thematic areas (Installations – Cafés, Hotels, Restaurants – Rental Accommodations – Leisure – Services), the latest innovations and major trends in the sector will be showcased. Meanwhile, at the Espace Forum, conferences and meetings will be held to discuss the most important challenges facing the future of the outdoor hospitality industry.

Environmental sustainability will be the focus of many discussions, such as reducing and reusing water resources, eco-construction of mobile homes, and managing green spaces in campsites in response to climate change. On this occasion, the “zero phyto” guide, developed by the Sustainable Development Group of the FNHPA, will be presented.

Atlantica continues the ISO 20121 certification process

The trade show itself has followed an eco-responsible approach for years to reduce its environmental impact. Through concrete actions such as waste sorting, recycling, reuse, second-life policies, short supply chains, and awareness efforts, Atlantica has been contributing to the environmental cause since 2017. This year, the show has reached another important milestone: it has been audited by AFNOR to obtain the ISO 20121 certification. This certification will strengthen the commitments made around three key objectives (economic, social, and environmental), which the trade show aims to achieve by 2026.

On the economic front, the organizers have chosen to prioritize local roots by working with local suppliers. The social challenge is to collaborate with organizations that have a defined CSR policy. Finally, from an environmental perspective, Atlantica is committed to further reducing and recycling its waste.
