At CMT Stuttgart 2026, the outdoor tourism sector will take centre stage with two days specifically dedicated to campsite operators, managers and industry professionals: the PiNCAMP Symposium and the side event “Die Zukunft des Campings” (The future of camping), powered by Booking Experts. These events represent a unique opportunity to gain up-to-date insights into market trends, digital innovation, operational strategies and practical tools to support the sector’s growth.

The PiNCAMP Symposium, scheduled for 16 January 2026 from 10:00 to 15:00 at Messe Stuttgart, will provide practical insights and concrete strategies to help campsites prepare for the 2026 season and beyond. Speakers include Uwe Frers, CEO of PiNCAMP, who will present an overview of European open-air tourism trends along with the latest market data, and Felix Rassmann, Data & Inspection Manager at PiNCAMP, who will outline the new campsite classification criteria developed in collaboration with ADAC and ANWB.

The programme will also feature sessions on digital marketing, guest experience management, sustainability, online review management and digital tools designed to improve operational efficiency. Dedicated networking opportunities will enable direct dialogue between operators, suppliers and representatives of industry associations.

The second event, the side event “Die Zukunft des Campings”, will take place on 22 January 2026 from 10:00 to 18:00 in Hall W2 at Messe Stuttgart. Organised by Booking Experts, the initiative will focus on digitalisation, quality standards and the future development of campsites in Germany and across Europe. Speakers will include Prof. Dr Frank Schaal of the BVCD, Sabrina and Daniel Frech of FRIVA Digital Solutions, Simone Pokrandt of Leading Campings and Giel Hendrikx of Booking Experts.

Topics will include an analysis of market trends, the automation of management processes, the use of artificial intelligence in open-air tourism, and the quality and branding strategies behind successful campsites. The programme will feature interactive panel discussions and advanced networking sessions designed to encourage the exchange of experiences and foster collaboration between operators, suppliers and industry associations.
