Following the success of its first edition, the Best Camping Village Awards return. Created by Teamwork Hospitality and Hospitality – Il Salone dell’Accoglienza, the awards recognise the best open-air tourism businesses in Italy.
Explaining the significance of the awards – which have received the institutional patronage of FAITA Federcamping – is Alessandra Albarelli, General Director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, organiser of Hospitality: “Hospitality accompanies the evolution of the hospitality industry by creating opportunities for dialogue between companies, designers, managers and professionals who contribute every day to defining new hospitality models. Open-air tourism is now one of the most dynamic segments of the market, capable of meeting travellers’ new expectations through investments in quality, innovation, sustainability and accessibility. The Best Camping Village Awards were created precisely to give visibility to those businesses that are raising the standards of the sector and which, through their experiences, can become a benchmark for the entire industry”.
The campsites, holiday villages and glamping sites submitting their applications will be assessed by a panel of experts specialising in the open-air tourism sector, design, specialist journalism and sustainability. Camping Business, as in the first edition, will once again be part of the judging panel, represented by the Editor-in-Chief Paolo Galvani.
Open-air excellence across ten categories
Taking part in the Best Camping Village Awards is an important opportunity for businesses to showcase their facilities. “Today, campsites and holiday villages are no longer simply accommodation options, but true experiential resorts. With this new edition and the valuable support of FAITA Federcamping, we want to make a strong call to action to all operators: submit your facilities, share your achievements and show everyone the extraordinary quality of Italian open-air hospitality,” says Mauro Santinato, President of Teamwork Hospitality.
The main new feature of this year’s edition is the introduction of two new award categories: Best Pet-Friendly Hospitality and Best Local Identity, joining the eight categories already established in the previous edition: Best Welcome and Service, Best Glamping Experience, Best Entertainment Programme, Best Relaxation and Wellness Experience, Best Accessible Hospitality, Best Sports and Outdoor Offering, Best Sustainability Programme, and Best Services, Facilities and Communal Areas.
All open-air accommodation businesses operating in Italy can apply easily and free of charge via www.bestcampingvillageawards.it. Each business may enter up to three categories, and the application form must be submitted no later than 30 October 2026.
The three finalists in each category will be announced on 8 January 2027, while the winners will be honoured during the awards ceremony on 3 February 2027 in Riva del Garda, as part of Hospitality – Il Salone dell’Accoglienza.
