The 2025 edition of Caravan Salon Düsseldorf closed with great success, bringing together 810 exhibitors from 41 countries. Across 15 halls and the outdoor area, visitors discovered the latest innovations in the sector: motorhomes and caravans of every category, roof-top and travel tents, technical components, specialized equipment, and a wide range of tourism offers. The appeal was huge: 269,000 visitors crowded the fair, more than a third of them for the first time.

These numbers confirm the growth trend of a sector that continues to attract new audiences and expand its horizons. Particularly striking was the high level of purchase interest: according to a survey, almost 40% of visitors intend to buy a recreational vehicle. A result that, as emphasized by Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Düsseldorf, is even more significant considering the current challenging economic environment.

A fair for all target audiences

The 2025 edition demonstrated how mobile tourism is able to engage diverse audiences, from newcomers to seasoned enthusiasts. First-timers found in the StarterWelt area an ideal point of orientation, while more experienced caravanners seized the opportunity to seriously evaluate new purchases. At the same time, Caravan Salon also confirmed its role as the leading B2B platform in the industry: the “Destination Future” conference series provided professionals and tourist destinations with an exclusive opportunity for exchange, networking, and strategic planning for the future.

The leadership of the Caravanning Industry Association (CIVD), a long-standing partner of the trade fair, expressed great satisfaction with the outcome of this edition. President Bernd Löher reiterated that the Düsseldorf event has become a central reference point for outdoor tourism and holidays, thanks to the variety and richness of the offer presented.

Managing Director Daniel Onggowinarso highlighted the strategic function of Caravan Salon, which goes far beyond a simple product showcase: a central platform for dialogue with institutions, politics, and other economic sectors, capable of promoting caravanning as a growth engine for tourism and the economy, including in lesser-known regions of Germany.

The balance sheet is therefore more than positive: an event that has strengthened Düsseldorf’s role as the world capital of caravanning and is already looking ahead to the next edition, scheduled from August 28 to September 6, 2026.
