A very positive 2022 for Cavallino-Treporti, which is one of the most chosen Italian destinations for open-air tourism. According to the data of the tourist tax, which records only the paying presences from May to September, Cavallino-Treporti has collected €4.450.000, committing its accommodation facilities even in the low season months: the month of September, with more than 860.000 presences, shows an increase of 160.000 presences compared to the same period in 2019.

“Working on a complete offer of the Cavallino-Treporti area is the extra element we can offer. The naturalistic and sporting experiences, the food and wine and the appeal of the Lagoon (UNESCO World Heritage Site) emphasised by the longest cycle and pedestrian path on the water in Europe, are extra elements we must focus on, teaming up with everyone, both public and private, so that our citizens can benefit from work, wellbeing, and new prospects,” wrote Mayor Roberta Nesto and Tourism Councillor Alberto Ballarin, commenting on the excellent attendance figures.

10 campsites in Cavallino-Treporti won the ADAC Superplätze

There was no shortage of international recognition confirming the success and value of Cavallino-Treporti’s accommodation facilities. During the CMT in Stuttgart, the Cavallino-Treporti delegation collected the prizes awarded by the ADAC, which, as it does every year, sends its inspectors to campsites throughout Europe to check their quality. This year the ADAC Superplätze, selected by an international jury of 40 experts and assessed in the four areas of sustainability and environmental awareness, innovation and progress, demographic change and accessibility, went to 10 accommodation facilities.

“This is an important acknowledgement,” commented Paolo Bertolini and Francesco Berton, presidents of the Cavallino-Treporti Tourist Park Consortium and Assocamping, respectively, “that testifies to how the accommodation facilities’ investments, which have never stopped, have focused on innovation and sustainability, having managed to manage image, reputation, and notoriety well on all platforms, thus complementing our product. It is enormously pleasing to see how the area continues to be ‘rewarded’ also in terms of affection and return of guests, who increasingly choose the accommodation facilities in Cavallino-Treporti to spend their holidays. This prospect is also confirmed for 2023, given the large number of bookings that are already arriving since the campsites opened for availability“.
