Spanish Camping Congress 2024: focus on innovation, sustainability, and new opportunities

On October 23 and 24, the city of Toledo will host the Spanish Federation of Camping Congress (FEEC), an event that brings together industry professionals to discuss key topics such as emerging trends, technological innovations, and the challenges of achieving sustainable growth. The two-day congress will feature a packed program of events and discussions. The opening session will provide an in-depth analysis of the economic impact of camping in Spain, highlighting the sector’s contribution to local economies, particularly in rural areas. Following this, there will be a focus on the use of artificial intelligence in managing outdoor accommodations, with special attention to optimizing the customer experience and improving operational efficiency.

Two roundtable discussions will explore other highly relevant topics: digitalization, which is playing an increasingly important role in transforming campsites, and sustainability, which will focus on the sector’s efforts to reduce environmental impact and adopt eco-friendly practices – a growing priority for both operators and customers who are increasingly aware of environmental issues. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in networking, exchange ideas, and discover new products and services tailored to the camping industry.

Generational change and effective leadership

On the second day, the discussion will shift to other topics that reflect the period of great transformation the industry is experiencing. In the morning, one session of the conference will be focused on the importance of media communication, which is crucial for any entrepreneur who wants to build and maintain a solid brand image. Following this, there will be a discussion on the latest architectural and landscaping trends that are revolutionizing outdoor space design, focusing on how to seamlessly integrate nature into new tourism development projects.

Throughout the day, additional topics will cover generational change, with a special emphasis on how to transform a family business into a modern entrepreneurial venture, and leadership development, aimed at improving business performance through effective team management.

The event will be covered by our fellow journalists from the Spanish publication Camping Profesional, whom we thank for their valuable cooperation!
