An interesting example of a virtual fair from Germany: NCT, which will remain online until March 5

From January 11th, the NCT virtual event dedicated to campsites has started, with a particular focus on German campsites. The event, entirely digital, will continue until March 5th, 2021. It is, even if only in German, an interesting example of how operators in the sector can be brought together virtually. Through your own avatar it is possible at any time to “walk” around the fair and participate in the conferences held in the auditorium. The complete list of exhibitors with the map of the booth is available on the site: with a simple click you can directly access the one you are interested in, where you are greeted by a virtual assistant. It is also possible to book an appointment for a phone conversation or videoconference, or leave a message to be contacted by the company.

In the NCT forum you can create and comment on public posts, exchange opinions with companies or other campsites and suggest topics. Within the virtual auditorium, a series of round tables and conferences on current topics and trends can be followed through Zoom and upon reservation. Each event will then be recorded and will be available for later viewing.

A presentation will be held on February 17th at 11 am – speaker Christian Günther, BVCD Service – which will focus on the issues related to vehicle exhaust gases, with a particular focus on Euro 7 and the spread of electric mobility. The following week, on February 25th, again at 11 am, Hannes Müller of the info portalCampus will examine the situation of the campsites both from the demand side, therefore the needs of guests and potential customers, and from the offer, through an overview on the rapid development of new platforms. The purpose of the session is to know and understand trends, keep an eye on the market and derive opportunities for the development of your company. The appointments for the last week, the one that starts on March 1st, have not yet been defined.

On November 17th and 18th, pandemic permitting, the “in person” event should instead take place at the Magdeburg fair.
