Human Company, one of the most relevant Italian companies in the open-air sector, on its 40th anniversary, estimated to close 2022 with revenues at 123 million euros, up 40 percent from 2021 and 11 percent from 2019. Campground admissions are also returning to pre-Covid levels, standing at just over four million.
The Florence-based group to date has 10 Village and Camping facilities in town, including 9 in Italy and one in Luxembourg. Among the most popular ones is hu Altomincio Village, the village a few kilometers from Lake Garda, followed by hu Firenze Camping in Town and hu Park Albatros Village, along the Etruscan Coast. The Group’s villages were mostly chosen by Italians, who with 40 percent outnumber the Dutch (25 percent) and Germans (15 percent).
This figure shows a 10 percent growth in domestic presences in the 2020-2022 period, consolidating the idea that the evolution of services and comforts of the camping offer has also stimulated the choice of open-air vacations in Italy. A result also confirmed in the Group’s 3 Camping in Towns in Florence, Rome and Venice.
Luca Belenghi, CEO Human Company, commented, “We can celebrate our 40th birthday with great enthusiasm thanks to these extraordinary numbers that allow us to look positively to the future and continue to invest on the development of our ambitious projects on the Italian territory.”
And, in fact, Human Company is already planning three different openings: in Veneto, with Eraclea Village, a village that will be among the largest, most modern and innovative in Europe and DeltaFarm, the biodiversity village that will convert the Enel thermoelectric power plant in Porto Tolle; in Tuscany, in Cavriglia, the first large tourist park dedicated to sports in Italy; and Sant’Albinia Village, in the territory of Piombino, an extension of the hu Park Albatros Village.
