Software publisher Septeo aims to become one of the key players in the European hospitality market through the acquisition of Sequoiasoft, a historic French company specializing in software for management, operations, and marketing in the hospitality sectors (hotels, residences, holiday villages, and campsites), as well as in catering and wellness. Sequoiasoft has been operating in the industry for over 40 years.
Septeo, a French company based in Montpellier, has traditionally served professionals in the real estate and legal sectors. However, with the acquisition of all assets of the Sequoiasoft group, including Sequoiasoft France, Sequoiasoft Spain, and the holding company Neo Hospitality, Septeo has strategically entered the hospitality and tourism industry, simultaneously establishing its presence in the Spanish market.
Sharing values and goals
Sequoiasoft, which generated a revenue of €35 million in 2022 and employs 400 staff across France and Spain, offers advanced software solutions covering the entire customer journey, from online reservations to the management of catering and wellness services. With this acquisition, Septeo integrates these capabilities into its portfolio.
The new group aims to swiftly establish itself in the European market by leveraging the synergies created by the acquisition: strengthening human and organizational resources will enable the development of Sequoiasoft software solutions for hotels, restaurants, residences, holiday villages, campsites, and wellness centers. Additionally, the implementation of new technologies developed by the Septeo group in Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, electronic signatures, and electronic invoicing will contribute to providing cutting-edge solutions.
“Septeo is by far the best choice to accelerate our growth strategy,” stated Patrice Guyot, President of Sequoiasoft and Neo Hospitality. But it’s also a heartfelt choice: “I could not have entrusted Sequoiasoft, the result of my colleagues’ work for over 20 years, our projects, and our ambitions to anyone other than stakeholders who share the same human and work values as us”.
Hugues Galambrun, founder, and CEO of Septeo also expressed satisfaction: “The group’s growth also involves diversifying our activities into new sectors and international development. The acquisition of the Sequoiasoft group opens the hospitality market for us, strengthening our promise to be present during the essential moments of our lives while simultaneously expanding our presence in Spain”.
