Italian companies that will participate in sector trade fairs could receive a € 10,000€ bonus

In these days, in Italy, the text of the decree law of May 17, 2022 n.50 (the so-called “DL Aiuti”) is being converted. Among the noveltis there is also the “fair bonus”, that is an incentive worth € 10,000 for Italian companies that will participate in international trade fairs organized in Italy. There is no deadline for submitting the application, but you must book in time before the allocated resources run out (the government has allocated a total of € 34 million). There will be a “click day” in order to get the bonus, which will be paid on the basis of the time order in which the applications are received.

The fairs that may be the subject of the contribution must fall within the calendar approved by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and must take place in the period between the date of entry into force of the law converting the decree law until December 31^st, 2022.

Who can ask for the bonus

At the time of submitting the application, companies must have already obtained authorization to take part in the fair. The bonus will be valid until November 30, 2022 and can only be claimed once. The request must be submitted exclusively electronically, through the platform that will be made available by the Ministry of Economic Development.

To access the incentive, the company must have the following requirements: valid and functioning certified e-mail address, operational headquarters in Italy, registration in the Business Register. They must also declare that they have obtained authorization to participate in international trade fairs in the sector and that they have incurred (or have to incur) expenses and investments for participation in such events.

The aid is granted on the basis of the “de minimis” regime, therefore companies that have already used the ceiling of € 200,000 on a three-year basis will not be able to access the incentive. The maximum repayment payable is equal to 50% of the investments made by the beneficiaries and cannot in any case exceed € 10,000. The requested bonus will be paid by December 31^st, 2022 directly by crediting the bank account indicated when submitting the application.
