Alessandra Priante is the new president of ENIT Spa. The new board members Ivana Jelinic and Sandro Pappalardo complete the Board of Directors of the company, which depends on the Ministry of Tourism. The goal of the new ENIT is to enhance the attractiveness of Italy’s tourist offer. Alessandra Priante’s appointment aligns precisely with this objective.
The manager, with a solid career behind her, brings a wealth of national and international experiences: she served as the Director for Europe at the UNWTO, the United Nations agency responsible for global tourism, and – until October 2019 – as head of international relations and protocol at the MIPAAFT, a role in which she managed the transition of tourism policies from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to the Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry, and Tourism Policies.
An expert in tourism policies, she particularly focuses on areas such as data and statistical surveys, food and wine tourism, health tourism, accessibility, overtourism dynamics, and the analysis of demand along the lines of digital transformation. Skills and professionalism that she is ready to make available to the country to develop and promote Italy as an excellent tourist destination: “We will have the common goal, under the direction of the Ministry of Tourism and Minister Daniela Santanchè, to enhance and promote the beauty of Italy, in order to attract an ever-increasing number of tourists from around the world.”
Among the priorities that Alessandra Priante has set for her commitment are the promotion of sustainable and responsible tourism, the development of innovation and digitization of the tourism sector, the enhancement of training for tourism operators, and the valorization of the Italian cultural and environmental heritage. Objectives that the president intends to achieve in synergy with local institutions, industry associations, and tourism operators, essential actors in every change.
