The global tourism sector takes a major step toward sustainability with the launch of the Global ESG Policy Tracker, an innovative tool designed to help businesses navigate the complex and ever-evolving landscape of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations. This valuable digital resource was developed by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) in collaboration with Greenview, an international leader in ESG solutions for the hospitality industry.
The tool is both simple and effective: through an interactive online dashboard, it provides businesses with a clear and up-to-date overview of ESG policies at regional, national, and state levels, enabling them to plan and manage their strategies in alignment with current regulations. One of the tool’s key strengths is its comprehensive nature. It includes thematic and geographic policy summaries, quarterly updates to ensure the information remains current, and access to a dedicated advisory group to guide the ongoing development of the platform.
“ESG requirements are becoming increasingly complex and urgent,” emphasized Julia Simpson, President and CEO of WTTC. “This partnership provides an essential tool to help companies not only comply with policy but also lead the shift toward a more responsible and future-oriented Travel & Tourism sector. The ESG Tracker offers timely, clear, and actionable insights, helping businesses measure progress, anticipate changes, and stay true to their commitments”.
Eric Ricaurte, Founder and CEO of Greenview, echoed this sentiment: “We are proud to partner with WTTC on this important initiative. Our experience in ESG policy research and content management allows us to deliver practical, high-value intelligence to hospitality leaders around the world. Together, we are building a resource that will drive meaningful change and support the long-term resilience of the sector”.
