Sandaya expands with Business Village and enters the corporate seminar sector

Sandaya, one of Europe’s leading premium open-air hospitality groups, is taking a new and significant step in its growth by announcing the signing of a strategic agreement with Business Village. Through this operation, the French group acquires a majority stake in the site dedicated to seminars and professional events in Louan-Villegruis-Fontaine, in the heart of Île-de-France, about two hours from Paris.

The agreement marks an important milestone for both partners: on one hand, Business Village strengthens its position in the tailored seminar sector, while on the other, Sandaya expands its offering beyond leisure tourism by integrating corporate events and seminars into its French destinations. For Sandaya, in particular, this partnership opens the door to diversification: the French group, historically specialized in leisure tourism (camping and open-air holidays), is now entering the business travel and professional events segment. This move opens new revenue streams and helps offset the seasonality typical of the camping industry.

An €8 million investment

Sandaya’s investment plan foresees a total of €8 million dedicated to expanding and modernizing the Business Village in Louan-Villegruis-Fontaine. Key developments include the acquisition of 200 new cottages, increasing the total capacity to 400 participants for residential events, and the installation of cutting-edge technologies such as a giant LED screen and a state-of-the-art acoustic system.

The project also includes the creation of new modular breakout rooms, two large plenary halls for larger events, and a complete redesign of the restaurant and reception areas to offer a more modern, comfortable, and functional experience.

The Business Village is ISO 20121 certified and promotes eco-responsible services, locally sourced menus, and environmentally friendly team-building activities. Its location is also a key asset: within close reach of Paris yet surrounded by the peace of nature, the site provides the ideal setting for companies seeking venues that are both easily accessible and far removed from the urban environment.
