The 16th edition of the Travel d’Or, which concluded on April 3rd, crowned Capfun as the winner in the campsite category, marking a year of growth and success for the independent French brand founded in 1992.

The award was presented to Marion Houé, Sales Director at Capfun, during the ceremony organized by Eventiz Media Group. “This award,” she said, “recognizes the commitment of our teams, who work every day to develop our products, satisfy our customers, who are at the heart of everything we do, and nurture our talents through in-house training”.

The Travel d’Or awards, created in 2009 by Frédéric Vanhoutte, founder of Eventiz, are the first French fully independent awards dedicated to the tourism industry. Each year, they celebrate the sector’s excellence by rewarding both established companies and emerging start-ups based on their brand reputation, creativity, technological innovation, and commitment to sustainability.

In the 2025 edition, Capfun emerged as the winner from a highly competitive shortlist, which included Aloa Vacances, Camping Paradis, Sandaya, Vacansoleil, Campings Maeva, Homair, Ushuaia Villages, Yellow Village, and many others, an impressive lineup that reflects the intense competition within the outdoor hospitality segment. Capfun’s victory highlights the growing significance of open-air hospitality in the French tourism landscape.
