Even this year the world of open-air tourism will be present in Rimini at the most important B2B fair in the tourism sector in Italy, this year called InOut | The contract community, with an official presence. From October 11th to 13th, FAITA-FederCamping will have its own dedicated and evocative space entitled “Productive garden discovery of the sense“, a sensorial journey to discover Mediterranean scents and colors to tell the story of the Made in Italy glamping model in collaboration with Crippaconcept, Camp Design Architecture, and AUDe Laboratory of the University of Pavia.

In the 2023 season, Italian open-air tourism has reached new goals: if at the end of the season the companies confirm the ongoing trends, we should reach 11 million arrivals for just under 70 million presences. A figure that puts open-air firmly in second place, after hotels, in the choice of Italian tourism methods and among the first at a European level.

The events organized by FAITA-FederCamping

In Rimini, where Camping Business is also present as an exhibitor and media partner of SIA Hospitality Design, the Federation has planned and structured a large series of events to integrate and enrich its promotion and growth project dedicated to businesses and entrepreneurs. It starts on Wednesday, October 11th at the Open Air Arena, in Hall B5, at 11.45am with “The new face of camping: design, efficiency, and adaptability by Crippaconcept“, moderator Maria Chiara Voci, journalist. In this talk we will explore the essence of the transformation and evolution of the world of camping in response to environmental needs and climate change. Starting from the importance of planning and design with a view to sustainability and adaptability.

This will be followed, again at the Open Air Arena, by the key event of the event, namely the national assembly of FAITA-FederCamping which includes the conference entitled “Quality and innovation: central and essential elements in the national Open Air offer”. With Gianluca Semprini, RAI journalist, as moderator, the meeting represents an essential focus to take stock of the importance of quality for the outdoor tourism sector and its decisive influence on the success recorded during the season 2023.

The following day, at 10.30am at the Pool Wide Arena in Hall B1, an important match between the main players in the sector entitled “Outdoor tourism: why people like it and they will like it. The secret to strengthening the bond between nature and host. The trade associations take stock”. This will be followed by a meeting at the Open Air Arena on how to best communicate the change taking place in the open air sector. From 12pm to 1pm it will be “The hour of electric mobility”: with RePower we will talk about the mobility of the future and how there are already countless solutions for the sector and for campers. From 2.30 pm it will be the turn of the regional associations and FAITA-FederCamping delegations, who will have the opportunity to discuss and plan future moves at the Confturismo stand.

Finally, on 13 October from 11.45am at the Open Air Arena, the journalist and scientific communicator Marco Gisottiwill moderate the meeting “Accessibility and sustainability in Open Air tourist accommodation facilities”.

The 2023 season appears positive for companies in the open-air sector, quite a few of which, in this long summer queue, are still open with occupancy rates above 80%,said Alberto Granzotto, President of FAITA-FederCamping. “InOut represents the ideal opportunity to start a discussion between operators on the issues of innovation and growth in the sector, as well as a training/information moment through the many dedicated FAITA-FederCamping panels, and consequently an excellent opportunity to plan investments thanks to the many exhibitors present“.
