Leadership changes at the Ente Bilaterale Nazionale del Turismo (EBNT), a key institution in Italy’s tourism sector. Within the new Executive Committee, Marco Sperapani, Director General of FAITA-Federcamping, the long-established federation of outdoor hospitality businesses, will represent the open-air sector. His appointment marks an important acknowledgment of a sector that continues to grow, showing remarkable vitality and an increasing capacity to attract sustainable, high-quality tourism.

Diego Lorenzi, a representative of Fisascat-CISL, has been elected President for the 2025–2028 term, alongside Vice President Riccardo Orlandi (Fipe). The newly elected leaders take over from Alessandro Nucara and Stefano Franzoni. Alongside Sperapani from FAITA-Federcamping, the new board includes Giovanni Battaiola and Angelo Candido (Federalberghi), Marco Fontanari (Fipe), Giuseppe Ciminnisi (Fiavet), Michele Carpinetti and Monja Caiolo (Filcams-CGIL), Giuseppina Sferruzza (Fisascat-CISL), as well as Stefano Franzoni and Samantha Merlo (UILtucs).

EBNT is a joint body formed by the main national organizations representing both employers and workers in the tourism industry, including Federalberghi, FIPE, FAITA, Fiavet, Filcams-CGIL, Fisascat-CISL, and UILtucs. It represents over 220,000 businesses and approximately 1.7 million employees, playing a key role in employment, labor market monitoring, training and professional development.

The new three-year term begins with a clear goal: to tackle future challenges by fostering open dialogue between social partners and reinforcing tourism’s increasingly central role in Italy’s economic development and employment landscape.
