From 25 February to 1 March 2026, Messe Essen will host a new edition of Reise + Camping, one of the key spring events for the tourism, outdoor and caravanning sectors in Germany. The event will bring together around 750 brands and destinations from 15 countries, offering a comprehensive overview of travel, experiential tourism, camping and leisure mobility.
On display will be not only tourist destinations, but also camper vans, motorhomes, caravans, tents, mobile homes, accessories and outdoor solutions. Reise + Camping is aimed at both the general public and industry professionals. The 2025 edition welcomed more than 80,000 visitors.
In 2026 the event will once again be held alongside Fahrrad Essen, one of Europe’s leading trade fairs dedicated to the world of cycling and sustainable mobility, with a single ticket granting access to both exhibitions.
The halls not to be missed
Hall 7 – Camping in Germany
In collaboration with the German Federal Association of Campsite Operators (BVCD), this area will showcase all facets of outdoor holidays in Germany: campsites, regions and destinations will present themselves through an experiential layout combining information, inspiration and entertainment. Key themes will include sustainable travel, glamping, family tourism and the outdoor lifestyle, with interactive areas, a beer garden and spaces dedicated to children.
Hall 8 – Scandinavia World
Across approximately 1,500 square meters, Northern Europe will take centre stage at the 2026 edition thanks to the presence of destinations, specialised tour operators, ferry companies and numerous campsites from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Hall 2 – Vanlife Lounge
This area will serve as a reference point for the vanlife world and for those converting vehicles into private camper vans. Here, visitors will be able to receive information and expert advice and take a close look at the numerous customised vehicles on display, in order to gain a comprehensive overview of a rapidly growing segment.
The appointment is therefore in Essen on 25 February for five days immersed in the world of tourism and outdoor holidays.
