The 47th edition of SETT – Salon Européen des Tendances Touristiques opens today, 3 November, at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier. Running until Thursday, 5 November, the event brings together operators, suppliers and professionals from the open-air hospitality sector, confirming its position as one of the leading events for the European camping and outdoor accommodation market.
The 2026 edition follows a successful 2025 event, which recorded 20,215 visitors, more than 700 exhibitors, 365 new products and innovations presented, and approximately 60,000 square metres of exhibition space. These figures reflect the scale the event has achieved and its role in bringing together supply and demand in an increasingly diverse industry.
The event is organised by the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air Occitanie, together with five partner regional federations: Auvergne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Corsica, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Rhône-Alpes. Once again this year, the exhibition programme runs alongside the FNHPA national congress, now in its 52nd edition.
Key events to put in your diary
The opening day, Tuesday 3 November, begins at 10 am with the opening of the exhibition halls. At 11 am, in the Accueil A area, the official opening ceremony of the 47th edition of SETT and the 52nd FNHPA Congress will take place, attended by federation president Nicolas Dayot and representatives of the partner federations.
At 3 pm, in Conference Room 1, the programme includes a review of the season and an analysis of the main lessons learned, featuring Nicolas Dayot, Maxime Cellier, FNHPA Secretary General, and Alain Desprès of Atout France. Other topics on the agenda include the revitalisation of smaller campsites, tax risks associated with business transfers and regulatory updates affecting companies in the sector.
At 6 pm, also in Conference Room 1, the SETT d’Or awards ceremony will take place. Now in its nineteenth year, the awards recognise five exhibitors for initiatives and solutions in the fields of services, products, sustainable development and innovation.
Wednesday, 4 November, will be particularly busy, with a full programme of institutional events and networking opportunities. The FNHPA General Assembly is scheduled for 10 am, while the Trophées du développement durable, now in their fifth edition, will be presented at noon. These awards recognise campsites that have implemented practical initiatives in the field of environmental sustainability.
Also worth highlighting is the Cocktail Européen, organised by FHPA Occitanie at 1 pm. This is a networking opportunity for invited representatives of European campsites. SETT’s international dimension is now well established: according to the organisers, more than 13% of visitors come from abroad.
The afternoon technical programme includes a session at 2.30 pm on the use of drones and robots in open-air hospitality, focusing particularly on applications for rescue operations, prevention and improving the guest experience. At 6 pm, the SETT Awards, organised by FHPA Occitanie in collaboration with L’Officiel des Terrains de Camping, will recognise the work and initiatives of campsite operators.
On Thursday, 5 November, the final day of the event, the programme includes a session at 10 am dedicated to understanding customers and developing shared destination strategies. At 11 am, CCI Occitanie will address a particularly practical issue for campsite operators: how to identify and reduce water consumption and waste across campsites. This is an increasingly important issue, both from an economic perspective and in terms of the environmental management of accommodation facilities.
The day will conclude with the awards ceremony for the winners of the competition organised by FHPA Occitanie, followed by the closing cocktail, scheduled for 4.30 pm.
An exhibition organised into seven sectors
The exhibition is divided into seven product and service sectors, covering the main operational needs and investment areas of accommodation businesses: equipment, catering supplies, landscaping and green spaces, rental accommodation, games and recreational activities, swimming pools and wellness, services and communication.
The layout of the exhibition halls helps visitors plan their route according to their professional interests. Rental accommodation is concentrated in halls A4 and B2, games and recreational activities in hall A2, while swimming pools, wellness and landscaping occupy areas A3 and A6. Services and communication are represented in halls A5, B3 and B4.
