VacanceSelect Travel has launched VacanceSelect Connect, a new online portal designed to make it easier and faster for campsites to join its European distribution platform and manage the information presented to potential guests. The new solution addresses two important aspects of the relationship between online distribution platforms and accommodation providers: the time required to complete the onboarding process and the accuracy of the information shared across different channels.
Traditionally, setting up a new partnership often involves exchanging information by email, with campsite operators sending descriptions, prices, accommodation details, facilities and photographs to the distribution partner. These materials then have to be checked, transferred and manually entered into the relevant systems. VacanceSelect Connect changes this workflow by allowing campsite partners to upload and manage their information directly through a dedicated online environment.
Faster onboarding, less administrative work
One of the main benefits of the new portal is the simplification of the onboarding process. Instead of collecting information through multiple email exchanges, VacanceSelect Travel gives campsite operators direct access to the platform, where they can enter and update their own data.
This approach reduces administrative steps and makes it possible to bring new properties online more quickly. It also limits the need for information to be transferred from one system to another, a process that can generate delays and inconsistencies.
The portal supports both individual campsites and operators managing multiple properties and is available in six languages. Partners can manage all the main elements of their online presentation in one place, including campsite information, facilities, supplements, optional extras, rules, prices, accommodation details and photography.
More accurate information, fewer opportunities for errors
Direct data entry also has an important impact on information quality. When campsite details are sent by email and subsequently copied and manually entered by another party, there is always a risk of transcription errors, outdated information or discrepancies between different versions of the same content.
By allowing operators to work directly within the portal, VacanceSelect Connect reduces these intermediate steps. Campsites retain greater control over how their facilities and accommodation are described and presented, while the distribution platform can receive more complete and consistent information. The result is not only a more efficient administrative process, but also a more reliable source of information for travellers browsing VacanceSelect Travel’s distribution channels.
Connecting existing software to keep information up to date
Beyond the self-service portal, the other key element of VacanceSelect Travel’s strategy is the expansion of its software integration network. The company currently has direct connections with 36 systems, with approximately 50 active connections when integrations through channel managers are included. These include campsite management systems, property management systems and channel managers such as Ctoutvert, eSeason, Resalys, Maxxton, Booking Experts, Scidoo, Compusoft, MyGuestCare, Vertical Booking, SGS, Unicamp, Ulyses, MasterCamping, Qenner, Phobs, SiteMinder, Tommy Booking and Camping.care.
These connections allow information to be retrieved and updated automatically from the campsite’s existing software, reducing the need for manual intervention. Changes made in connected systems can be transferred to VacanceSelect Travel’s distribution environment, helping partners maintain consistent and current information without repeatedly entering the same data.
This means being able to rely on their existing management tools rather than introducing additional administrative tasks. It also reduces the risk of discrepancies caused by manually copying information between platforms.
Technology combined with personal support
VacanceSelect Connect is designed to make the distribution platform accessible to both independent campsites and larger groups, combining self-service functionality with personal assistance.
“We believe in simplicity and personal service,” says Ralf de Bruijn, Managing Director of VacanceSelect Travel. “VacanceSelect Connect and our growing range of system integrations make it easy for campsites to join our distribution platform and present themselves with richer and always up-to-date content. Partners remain in control of their information, while our back-office team is always available to answer questions or provide support when needed.”
Partners can therefore choose the approach that best suits their organisation: managing their content directly through the portal or relying on an available software integration to automate much of the process.
The launch of VacanceSelect Connect is part of VacanceSelect Travel‘s ongoing investment in partner connectivity and digital distribution. By reducing manual data exchange, accelerating onboarding and expanding software compatibility, the company aims to make its European distribution network easier to access and more efficient to manage for campsite operators.
